Import supporters

Import on Supporters uploads a CSV or spreadsheet to create or update people. Nothing is saved until you map columns and confirm the preview.

Steps

1. Click Import and upload a file (CSV, TSV, TXT, or a spreadsheet the importer accepts).
2. Map columns to Givevery fields (name, email, and any extras you use). You can reuse a saved mapping.
3. Review the preview: valid vs invalid rows.
4. Confirm. Only valid rows are written.

You need an identity field (typically email or a unique id) so we can match existing supporters instead of duplicating them.

Tips

• Start from the CSV template if you are unsure of headers.
• Fix invalid rows in the file and re-import; skipped rows can be downloaded where the importer offers it.
• Imports do not replace a CRM. Use Integrations if you sync Salesforce.
