Donation form defaults

Amounts, layout, and survey copied onto new forms.

Open in dashboard

Settings → Donation form is a template, not the live checkout. New forms copy these amounts, layout, colors, and post-donation questions. You can still override everything on each form.

This is different from the default form (a real form in Forms marked “Default form for new pages”). Settings never change an existing form, including the default form.

How they work together

  1. You save donation form defaults here (or leave the built-in starting values).
  2. The first time Givevery needs a form — new page, new donation-form block, or an empty Forms list — it creates a form named Default form from these settings and marks it as the org default.
  3. Later new forms still copy these settings, not whatever you later edited on Default form.
  4. Checking Default form for new pages on another form only changes which form new pages and blocks link to. It does not update this settings page.

Giving

Accordion vs tabs layout, suggested amounts, monthly giving, and whether donors can cover processing fees.

Post-donation survey

Questions shown after a successful gift. Keep this short — it is optional for donors.

Existing forms do not change when you edit these defaults. Open the form editor to change a live form.
